It's one week out from Mother’s Day, and if you’re planning to go out and get fresh flowers for mom, you may be out of luck.
Local florists say because of the pandemic, they’re having trouble keeping up with demand. When COVID-19 first hit last spring, flower farms all over the world shut down and stopped their operations. Even as the industry begins to pick back up, farms are having trouble meeting the demand.
