PAOLI—Paoli Fire Company’s Annual Easter Flower sale is back. The sale – an important fundraiser for the volunteer-led fire company – was canceled last year due to Covid-19. With cases trending downward and safety protocols in place, PFC is thrilled to be able to invite the public to resume the local tradition of buying flowers from April 2-4 in front of the fire company, 69 Darby Road, Paoli.
“Our flower sale is always a sign of spring. This year, it’s also a sign of hope,” said Paoli Fire Chief Andrea Testa."We have missed the community so much! It is wonderful to be able to invite everyone back to the firehouse, to see everyone again. And while our flower sale will be held outside the station for everyone’s safety, it makes us look forward even more to the day when we can invite everyone inside.”
Testa stressed that all Covid safety measures must be observed at all times by those working the sale and those patronizing it. This includes wearing masks and observing social distancing. “One of the reasons we can hold this sale is that we have a year’s worth of science about the virus,” she said. “Even though our members have been vaccinated, they will be wearing masks. We ask everyone, regardless of vaccine status, to please do the same.”
The sale days and times:
• Friday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Saturday, April 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Sunday, April 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The flower sale includes a wide assortment of plants to help everyone celebrate spring and the spring holidays, as it coincides with both Easter and the end of Passover. Hyacinths, tulips, daffodils, lilies, pansies and hydrangeas are among the flower varieties available, at prices $35 and under. Both cash and credit cards will be accepted. All proceeds benefit the Paoli Fire Company.
