The Davis Flower Arrangers announce that Michele Justice, the owner, designer and instructor of K&M Floral at 537 Main St. in Woodland, will be the presenter at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, via Zoom.
Justice has an impressive 30-plus-year career in the floral business. To begin with, she is a California certified nurserywoman and for several years worked as the manager of Valley Gardens Nursery, which led her into floral design for weddings and into developing her talent to create beautiful silk flower arrangements.
She then opened and managed her own Sacramento florist business for many years before retiring to travel extensively. But this was not the end for her, as her vital passion for flowers and floral design led her to purchase K&M Floral and Gift Shop five years ago.
Her delight and enthusiasm for flowers and floral design light up all of those around her and the connection she makes with clients is renowned. She is proud that K&M is a premier florist shop and was voted the best florist in Yolo County in 2017 and 2018.
For her presentation, she will demonstrate how she creates arrangements based on Ikebana principles and guidelines. She is recognized for her distinctive arrangements that incorporate the movement and linear style of Ikebana along with dramatic colors of fresh-cut flowers. Program attendees will have the opportunity to watch her construct several arrangements and to ask questions about her style, vision and inspiration.
Anyone who is not a Davis Flower Arranger member can participate by either sending a check for $40 to become a member or send a check for $10 for this presentation to Jo Anne Boorkman, 2205 Butte Place, Davis, CA 95616. An invitation to the Zoom meeting will be sent prior to the meeting and will also allow access to a recording of the presentation
