RUSSELL TOWNSHIP, Ohio –

Suspicious, Hemlock Road:

Someone stole two outdoor flower baskets from a woman’s fence sometime in November. She filed a police report Nov. 28 and said she would install cameras to catch the culprits on video the next time.

Fraud, Hartwell Trail:

Police went to a home Nov. 20 where a resident filed a fraud report pertaining to an Amazon account.

Information, Chillicothe Road:

While on patrol Dec. 1, on snowy roads, an officer’s cruiser slid into several tree branches that had fallen in the road. A passing snowplow truck driver stopped to help clear them from the road and free a branch stuck under the cruiser. No damage was visible.

Traffic hazard, Chillicothe Road:

A motorist reported a downed tree across the road 5:45 a.m. Dec. 1. A road department crew was notified and sent out to remove the obstruction.

Utility problem, Hook Hollow Road:

Police were dispatched to the scene where a large tree fell into electric lines and hung over both lanes of the road 11:27 a.m. Dec. 1. A responding officer found the location of the problem and contacted CEI to respond.
