For its flower of the year, the floral retailer selected the sunflower—a no-brainer for the cheer and joy that it symbolizes. Add the the yellow blooms to a vase to instantly brighten your home. You can even incorporate them into your holiday decor by adding them to your Christmas trees.
To help inspire us to connect with others, 1-800-Flowers.com's 2021 plant of the year is the Red Maranta Prayer Plant, which gets its name from the way its leaves fold at night resemble hands praying. With dark green leaves featuring red veins, the plant's hues are classic Christmas colors. So, you can also easily add it to your decked out home this holiday season, too.
