Here are the final volleyball area rankings for the season. The playoffs start Thursday for Class 6A and 5A teams.

Flower Mound (17-1) finishes at No. 1 in the 6A rankings after winning its final eight regular-season matches and claiming the District 6-6A title. Flower Mound has lost just one set during its winning streak.

Northwest Eaton moved up to No. 2 after Friday’s 25-16, 25-17, 25-12 win over defending Class 6A state champion Trophy Club Byron Nelson. The teams tied for first in District 4-6A, and Eaton (14-2) will be the district’s top seed in the playoffs.

Sachse jumped into the top 10 in 6A after Monday’s 25-21, 29-27, 26-28, 21-25, 15-13 win over nationally ranked Prosper in a playoff warm-up match.

Lovejoy is the No. 1 team in 5A and will take a 19-0 record into the playoffs. Lovejoy beat a pair of 6A teams — state-ranked Sachse and area-ranked Denton Guyer — in straight sets in playoff warm-up matches Saturday and Monday.
