Jessica Mulroney Is Launching a Collection of Affordable Flower Girl Dresses - Vanity Fair

After being called out for “textbook white privilege,” having both ABC and CTV cut ties with her professionally, and spending the whole summer defending her friendship with Meghan Markle between intermittent social media hiatuses, Jessica Mulroney has finally found her new calling—affordable flower girl dresses.

The celebrity stylist took her Instagram account off private to announce the new business venture, sharing an image of her seven-year-old daughter Ivy wearing a poofy pink dress and holding a tiny basket full of matching roses. “Ivy has bridal in her blood,” Mulroney captioned the shot. “New simple, elegant and affordable flower girl dresses designed by me coming soon as well as other curated bridal gifts.”

Ivy is very familiar with the expectations that come with being a flower girl as she previously played the role at Meghan Markle's wedding to Prince Harry in 2018. Her twin older brothers, Brian and John, also served as page boys at the royal affair, helping to carry the Duchess of Sussex's veil. In fact, in early September, Mulroney shared an image of her sons at the wedding ceremony which she said she had to take down because of “The amount of bullying and hatred I’ve had to put up with for 3 years….I’m tired of looking at it. Be kind. Be gracious. We are grown ups…stop acting like teenagers. Real women don’t put down other women.”

Aside from the social media “bullying and hatred,” Mulroney confirmed last month that things between her and Meghan are just fine, despite rumors to the contrary. In an Instagram Story, Mulroney wrote, “I’m going to tell this once and for all. Meghan and I are family. She is the kindest friend and has checked up on me everyday. Tabloid culture is atrocious. It creates lies and hurtful storyline. Stop feeding into it. Done.”

As the former host of the reality show I Do, Redo and someone who's "probably worn more bridesmaids’ dresses than Katherine Heigl in 27 Dresses,” Mulroney certainly knows her way around a bridal party. In May, she launched a collection of nuptial-themed rompers telling Vanity Fair that her advice for those planning a pandemic wedding is all about, "How do you want to remember your wedding? Twenty years from now, do you want screenshots of friends and family on a Zoom call? If the answer is yes, then by all means, get married virtually. But if your dream is to be surrounded by your loved ones, then take a breath and realize that one day soon, you will be able to celebrate your love in person and together.” Hopefully, all while dressed in her latest bridal offerings.
