The Fauquier Education Farm will offer a workshop on cut flowers Thursday, Aug. 6.
Free, open to all and requiring no registration, the session will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the farm at 8428 Meetze Road just southeast of Warrenton.
“Growing an abundance of flowers is a big goal for home gardens as well market growers,” education farm Executive Director Jim Hankins said in a press release. “Our cut-flower demonstration is a model of how you could start as a commercial farmer.”
Workshop discussion also will focus on flower varieties and how to cultivate them, Mr. Hankins said.
Though an outdoor program, participants must wear facemasks because of the coronavirus pandemic, Mr. Hankins added.
